# November 2025

## New Features

* **Warm Transfer over Voice**: Apten now supports warm-transfer mid-call hand-offs on the voice channel, briefing the human agent on the conversation before bridging the lead through.
* **Bulk Send-Message via CSV**: Send a personalized first message to many leads at once by uploading a CSV. The bulk endpoint also supports variables.
* **Common Objections Analytics**: A new optimization view clusters customer replies into common objections so you can see what leads push back on most often, and refine your prompts in response.
* **Backup Transfer Number**: Configure a fallback transfer number that Apten will dial if the primary agent leg goes to voicemail or doesn't pick up.
* **Profile-Level SMS Transfer**: SMS transfer is now configured per customer profile (previously a single org-wide flag) so different brands or teams can route to different agents.
* **Update Lead API**: New API endpoint for updating arbitrary lead properties without re-importing.
* **Email Forwarding for Attachments**: Inbound emails with attachments can now be forwarded to a configured destination address (useful for routing into ticketing or CRM systems).
* **Configurable Short-Transfer Threshold**: Define how short a transferred call has to be before Apten treats it as a non-connection and re-engages the lead.
* **One-Click Unsubscribe in Outbound Emails**: Outbound emails now include the headers required for native one-click unsubscribe in the recipient's inbox. This brings outbound email into compliance with bulk-sender requirements from major email providers and helps protect deliverability.
* **2026 SMS Holiday Calendar**: Holidays are automatically applied to outbound SMS scheduling so messages don't go out on major US holidays.

## Improvements

### Voice Bot Enhancements

* **Faster Guardrail Decisions**: Critical guardrail and reply-decision steps are now sub-second with automatic fallback for higher reliability.
* **Business Hours in Voice Agent**: The voice agent is now aware of your configured business hours so it answers scheduling questions correctly mid-call.
* **Smarter Voicemail Detection**: New voicemail detection on outbound AI calls for higher accuracy across carriers.
* **Phone Number Validation**: Invalid phone numbers and unsupported regions are caught and surfaced as clear errors instead of silent failures.
* **Cold Transfer Greeting**: Leads now hear a customizable greeting on the SMS-initiated cold-transfer path.

### Conversations & Automations

* **Follow-Up Reply Tracking**: Each follow-up step (SMS, email, call) now tracks whether it produced a reply, powering richer analytics.
* **Email Bounce Handling**: Bounce-back emails no longer raise errors and are filtered out of the conversation thread.
* **Inbound Email 100-Message Limit**: Long inbound email threads are now safely capped to prevent runaway processing.
* **Stay-on-Node Behavior**: When a node has no children, the agent stays on that node instead of transitioning to an end-state, supporting open-ended branches.

### UI/UX Improvements

* **Webhook Secrets in Settings**: Webhook URLs and signing secrets are now displayed (with copy buttons) in the developer settings table.
* **Email Unsubscribe Field in Integrations**: New CRM-integration setting to map an unsubscribe field, with redesigned integration settings layout.
* **Customer Profile List Pagination**: The customer-profile list now paginates correctly for large workspaces.
* **Phone Number Type Badges**: Improved visual badges and explanatory copy for phone-number types in settings.

## Bug Fixes

* Fixed double-texting on inbound SMS in some edge cases.
* Fixed dynamic transfer prompt for delayed-transfer scenarios.
* Fixed unanswered-question form failing to load custom knowledge.
* Fixed CSV upload errors not being surfaced clearly to the user.
* Fixed current date/time not being available to playground sessions.
