# October 2026

## Improvements

* **Temporary external compliance blocks**: Return `blockType: "temporary"` to block only the current send and let the lead's follow-up sequence continue on its normal cadence, including when a voice call is blocked immediately before dialing. Fail-closed provider errors are temporary; missing `blockType` keeps the existing permanent-block behavior. See [External Compliance Checks](/compliance/external-checks).
