# Analyzing Performance

> Explore trends, compare profiles, and investigate changes.

## Use your Metrics view

Open **Metrics**, choose your dates and filters, then ask Tux:

> Explain these metrics using my current dates and filters.

You can also specify a different period or profile in your question.

## What to ask

| Area | Example |
| - | - |
| Lead imports and engagement | “How did imports, contact rate, and qualification rate change last month?” |
| Text activity | “Compare inbound and outbound text volumes over the last four weeks.” |
| Calls | “Compare call volume and dispositions for our two main profiles last month.” |
| Transfers | “How many transfer attempts connected last week?” |
| Email | “Compare email volumes, replies, and bounces for September and October.” |
| Opt-outs | “Show opt-out events by channel over the last 30 days.” |
| Response timing | “When did leads tend to answer calls or reply to texts last month?” |

## Dig into a change

Use follow-up questions to narrow the analysis:

> Compare engagement this month with last month. Include lead counts and rates.

> Break that down by customer profile.

> Review a few relevant conversations. What could explain the difference?

## Create a chart

> Chart monthly lead imports for the last six complete months and include the data as a CSV.

For charts saved to your dashboard, see [Custom Graphs](https://docs.apten.ai/tux/custom-graphs.md). For downloadable files, see [Exports & Downloads](https://docs.apten.ai/tux/exports-and-downloads.md).

For guardrail events, webhook activity, notification metrics, text deliverability, and Webchat analytics, use the corresponding dashboard pages.
