New Features
- Email-Based Weekly Reports: Schedule weekly performance reports delivered via email, with configurable recipient lists and week-over-week comparison.
- Follow-Up Patterns Analytics: A new optimization view automatically clusters follow-up message themes, surfaces sample messages, and highlights which themes are correlated with replies. Includes an analysis report with takeaways and recommendations.
- Configurable Voice Speed per Profile: Adjust how fast the AI voice speaks at the customer-profile level, with a live preview.
- Transfer Rate Metric: Track the rate at which conversations end up successfully transferring to a human agent, broken down by channel.
- Conversation Attachment Filter: New filter and visual indicator on the conversation list for rooms that contain attachments (e.g., images, PDFs sent via SMS or email).
- Set Long-Term Follow-Up Action: New conversation dropdown action to immediately move a lead into long-term follow-up cadence.
- Outbound Phone Number on Lead Creation: Specify the outbound phone number when creating a lead via the API, overriding the profile default for that lead.
- Disable Text-After-No-Answer: New per-profile setting to skip the automatic SMS that goes out after a missed call.
- Bring Your Own Telephony Account: Customers with their own carrier sub-accounts can now connect them to Apten without rebuilding routing infrastructure.
- New Scheduled-Call Strategy: Added a follow-up call strategy that schedules at a delayed time (rather than immediately) for better connection rates.
Improvements
Voice Bot Enhancements
- Bot-Ready-Before-Dial: Calls now wait for the voice bot to be fully initialized before dialing, eliminating cold-start dead air at the top of calls.
- Voicemail Mid-Greeting Recovery: When voicemail is detected mid-greeting, the bot now interrupts itself cleanly and switches to voicemail handling.
- Voicemail Handling Without Carrier Detection: Even when carrier-side answering-machine detection is disabled, the bot now ends the call cleanly when voicemail is detected.
Conversations & Automations
- AI Calls Without Human Response: Calls where Apten speaks but the lead never responds are now classified separately, with a visual indicator in the conversation view and a dedicated metric.
- Last-Activity Timestamp: Conversations now track a last-activity timestamp, exposed in exports and the data table for easier triage.
- Reply-Attribution Backfill: Historical follow-up data has been backfilled with correct reply attribution and excludes opt-out messages.
- Future-Scheduled Lead Guard: Added a check to prevent message sends to leads scheduled for a future date.
UI/UX Improvements
- Reports Page: New top-level Reports page for viewing, configuring, and scheduling automated reports.
- CSV File-Size Validation: Frontend now validates CSV size before upload so large files are caught with a clear error.
- View Room from Sample Messages: Sample messages in the Follow-Ups analytics tab now have a “View Room” button that opens the source conversation in a new tab.
- Replied Indicator on Sample Messages: Visual indicator on sample messages showing whether they got a reply.
- Tool Name Validation: Custom-tool names and parameter names are now validated against AI agent tool naming requirements before save.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed bug where voicemails were occasionally transferred to the human agent.
- Fixed primary-phone-number query in cases where multiple numbers are assigned to a lead.
- Fixed inline-attachment filtering so quoted attachments aren’t reprocessed in email replies.
- Fixed AI-call-without-human-response classification in metrics and exports.
