New Features
- Warm Transfer Bot: When Apten warm-transfers a call to a human, an AI bot now greets the agent on the line, summarizes the conversation, and answers their questions (e.g., “what’s the lead’s email?”) before bridging the lead through. The bot uses the same voice and prompt configuration as the main bot for a seamless hand-off.
- Channel-Separated Opt-Outs (SMS / Voice / Email): Opt-outs are now tracked per channel with optional channel coupling, so a lead who unsubscribes from SMS can still receive emails (or vice versa) when configured. New voice-channel opt-out metrics, events table, and exports on the Metrics page.
- Rejected Call Status: Calls rejected at the carrier (e.g., spam-blocked, wrong number) now create a “rejected” call record with full visibility in the conversation UI and exports — previously they disappeared silently.
- Webchat Opt-In Consent: The webchat contact form now supports a customizable opt-in disclosure message so visitors explicitly consent before continuing the conversation.
- Placeholder Speech for Webhook Nodes: When a webhook node is hit during a voice call, you can configure custom placeholder speech (e.g., “Let me check on that for you…”) that plays while the webhook resolves.
- Standalone Enum / Multi-Select Variables in Message Nodes: Message nodes now support standalone enum and multi-select variable types for more controlled branching logic.
- Cadenced Knowledge-Base Refresh: Web-scrape knowledge base connectors now support a configurable refresh cadence so external pages stay in sync.
- Editable Scheduling-Tool Descriptions: Custom scheduling and availability tools now expose an editable description so you can tune how the agent invokes them.
- 2026 / 2027 Holiday Presets: Holiday presets updated for 2026 and 2027 (including observed-workday handling for Boxing Day).
- Background Sound Toggle on Webhook Nodes: New per-node toggle to enable or disable subtle background sound during webhook latency.
- Profile-Level Inbound Call Routing: Inbound calls now use the customer profile’s follow-up config rather than a global default.

Voice Bot Enhancements
- Warm-Transfer Bot Voice Matching: The warm-transfer bot uses the same voice as the main agent by default for a consistent agent experience.
- Default Warm Transfer ON: New profiles default to having the warm-transfer bot enabled.
- Off-Topic Recovery: Voice agent now nudges leads back to the call objective when conversations drift off-topic.
- Improved Voicemail Detection on Outbound Calls: Outbound calls now rely entirely on the new voicemail detection system for higher cross-carrier accuracy.
- Conditional Routing Wait: Webhook-driven conditional routing now waits for variable extraction to complete before evaluating conditions.
Conversations & Automations
- Voice Capacity Headroom: Auto-scaling improvements on the voice infrastructure to better absorb traffic spikes.
- Duplicate-Lead Webchat Conversion: When a webchat session converts and matches an existing lead, Apten now handles the duplicate gracefully instead of erroring.
- Tag Sync to HubSpot: New and renamed tags now sync to HubSpot automatically.
UI/UX Improvements
- Opt-Out Badges in Conversation List: Opt-out badges replace the on/off status in the conversation list for clearer at-a-glance visibility.
- Voice Description Truncation: Long voice descriptions in the customer-profile editor no longer push the “Select Voice” button off-screen.
- Strategy “Auto” State: Profile editor now shows the actual strategy state instead of always defaulting to “Auto,” with backfill on toggle.
- Pagination for Org Members: Organization members list now paginates correctly for large workspaces.
- Schedule-Strategy Empty State: Edit Schedule dialog now shows “No strategy assigned” instead of “Auto (all strategies)” when no strategies are configured.
- Profile Flow Editor Polish: Multiple bug fixes in the new profile flow editor for button states, scheduling-tool clearing, and node validation.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed strategies not copying when duplicating a customer profile.
- Fixed reliability issues in the optimization analytics pipeline that could fail on very large message volumes.
- Improved reply-decision behavior to better handle leads who explicitly decline interest.
- Fixed Salesforce lead imports failing when only an email (no phone) is provided.
