New Features

  • Follow-Up Strategies: Apten can now choose between multiple follow-up message strategies for each lead, automatically preferring strategies that haven’t been used yet on that lead and avoiding using the same strategy twice in a row. Strategies can be configured at the profile level, overridden per room, and are honored on manually scheduled follow-ups.
  • Strategy Performance Insights: The Follow-Ups analytics view now shows a per-strategy breakdown of reply rate so you can see which messaging variants land best.
  • Auto-Generated Strategy Proposals: For profiles without strategies, Apten now generates strategy proposals that you can review and accept in one click to bootstrap a strategy library.
  • Slack Lead-Limit Buttons: Lead-limit Slack notifications now include interactive buttons to bump a customer’s daily lead cap directly from Slack — no dashboard trip required.
  • Reports Page (GA): The Reports page is now generally available with view, configure, and email-distribution controls. Weekly reports include transfer-rate and week-over-week comparison.
  • Backup Transfer Number (Voicemail Fallback): When the agent leg of a transfer hits voicemail, Apten now dials the configured backup transfer number instead of dropping the lead.
  • Cross-Channel Opt-Out: When a lead explicitly asks to be removed from all channels, opt-out is applied across SMS, voice, and email instead of only the originating channel.
  • Set-Long-Term-Follow-Up Action: New action — available both from the conversation dropdown and via API — to move a lead immediately into long-term follow-up cadence.
  • Refer-A-Friend Field Sync: Added support for refer-a-friend referrer fields in CRM sync.

Improvements

Voice Bot Enhancements

  • Warm-Transfer Hold-Music & Wait Messages: Leads on hold during a warm transfer now hear a “Thank you for waiting, we are still trying to connect you to an agent” message, with retry-on-no-keypress fallback to the configured backup transfer number.
  • Smarter Voicemail Detection (Default): The new voicemail detection system rolled out as the default for outbound AI calls.
  • Voice Transfer Reliability: Multiple fixes for transfer timing, agent-missed-transfer handling, voicemail-disabled scenarios, and accuracy of who-ended-the-call attribution on connected transfers.

Conversations & Automations

  • Idempotent New-Lead Scheduler: Prevents duplicate follow-up scheduling when a lead is created twice in quick succession.
  • Follow-Up Hours / Days-of-Week Enforcement: Scheduled messages now respect both follow-up hours and days-of-week before sending.
  • Manual-Follow-Up Strategy Support: Manually scheduled follow-ups now run through the same strategy-selection logic as automated ones.
  • CSV Import — Landline Tolerance: When voice is enabled on a profile, landline numbers are now allowed in CSV imports.
  • Transfer-Failed Event in History: Failed transfers now leave a clear transfer-failed entry in the conversation history so you can see exactly what happened.

UI/UX Improvements

  • Per-Room Strategy Selection: Edit Schedule dialog now lets you pick which strategies are eligible for a specific lead’s follow-ups.
  • Read-Only Mode Polish: Business-hours expand buttons and copy-ID buttons now work correctly in read-only views.
  • Layout & Spacing Cleanup: Multiple fixes to settings/build page scrolling, dashboard banner spacing, double-scrollbar issues, and Edit Schedule dialog layout.
  • Announcement Banner: New in-app announcement banner system for highlighting major releases.
  • Removed Members Visible: Organization page no longer shows users who have been removed from your org.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed strategy-toggle handling on CSV imports.
  • Fixed scrolling regressions on the Settings and Build pages.
  • Fixed the “no strategy” default incorrectly showing as “Auto” in the profile editor.
  • Fixed inbound messages occasionally being processed twice in quick-burst scenarios.
